At GoMore, the safety of our members is our absolute top priority. Therefore, we always manually approve all renters with ID, driver’s license, and MitID.

As a result of the legislation on insane driving, we have also taken out insurance with Tryg, which ensures our car owners in the event that a car is confiscated during rental and auctioned off as a consequence of the legislation.

If the unfortunate happens, GoMore provides a replacement car for the car owner, while Tryg covers the compensation of the car for the renter if it is auctioned off. The renter will in all cases be held fully financially responsible for any loss that all affected parties may suffer. Refer to point 6.2.2.1 in our car rental terms:

"6.2.2.1 Cars rented on GoMore must not be used for insane driving (vanvidskørsel) as defined in the Danish criminal law and traffic law (see more here). By accepting these terms and conditions, the Renter declares that the Renter or any other driver of the rental car, have not previously been punished for insane driving, driving under the influence or any other severe violations of the Danish Traffic Act, and that the car will not be used for insane driving. In the event the car is confiscated or auctioned off, the Renter is in all instances fully financially responsible for any loss that all involved parties might incur. Including, but not limited to, loss in connection with confiscation and auctioning of the rental car."

The coverage is provided through an additional insurance agreement that GoMore has taken out with Tryg. It is an extra coverage to our already comprehensive insurance product, which covers a range of scenarios that ordinary car insurance normally does not cover, such as insane driving. We have taken out the extra coverage to ensure that our renters are as well-protected as possible in non-insurance-covered cases where the renter bears responsibility.
