As a car owner using the GoMore Keyless feature, it is important to prepare your vehicle properly for each rental to ensure security and functionality. Here is what you need to do before and after each Keyless rental.
Place the key in the glove compartment: To facilitate a smooth handover without needing to meet the renter, place the car’s key inside the glove compartment.
Safety tip: If you regularly leave the key in the car for rentals, consider using an RFID pouch placed in a locked key box inside the glove compartment to enhance security. Inform the renter of the key box code by adding it to the “Worth knowing about the car” section or via a direct message before the rental starts.
Close all doors and windows: Ensure that all doors and windows are securely closed before leaving the vehicle.
Lock the car using your app: Use the GoMore app to lock the car. Once locked via the app, the engine can only be started if the car is subsequently unlocked using the app, ensuring high security.
Unlock the car via the app: After the rental period, the car can only be started by unlocking it through your GoMore app.
Check for damages: After the rental period, you have to always check the car for any unreported new damages. You have 48 hours to check the car for damages and report it to GoMore. Please note that GoMore can only help with coverage of a damage, if it can be proved that a renter is responsible and that the damage happened during a rental period. It is your responsibility to prove that as the claiming part.
Rental insurance coverage: GoMore's rental insurance covers the duration of the rental and begins 30 minutes before the rental starts.
Outside rental periods: Outside of rental periods, your regular car insurance applies. Ensure any damages outside the rental periods are covered under your personal insurance.
