What happens if the car is stolen during the rental?

The vehicle is insured against loss, destruction, or damage due to theft, unauthorized use, or robbery during the rental period, but not due to gross negligence (such as leaving the vehicle unlocked, leaving the ignition key in the car, not activating an existing theft alarm or immobilizer, etc.). The loss, destruction, or damage due to embezzlement is not insured. In case of theft, the police, the renter, and Baloise must be notified immediately.

What does "negligence" mean?

In insurance law, negligence refers to damage that someone did not intend but caused through their behavior. In other words, negligence occurs when the person could have prevented the damage with different behavior.

Am I also covered if I use the car abroad?

The insurance is valid in Europe, as well as Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey. There is no coverage for Kosovo, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. If the vehicle is transported by sea, the insurance coverage is not interrupted as long as the departure and destination locations are within the local coverage area.

Is the insurance valid if someone else drives the car?

The GoMore insurance covers the renter, as the policyholder and primary driver, as well as all listed additional drivers (which is mandatory). Unregistered individuals are not covered by the insurance, and any potential damage will not be covered.

What should I do if I notice damage to the car that I didn’t cause?

During the rental period, so-called "parking damages" (caused by unknown vehicles or third parties) are also covered by the GoMore insurance under the comprehensive coverage. In such cases, the agreed deductible still applies. The deductible applies per damage event.
